Destroy’d by fire twice in 12 yrs at a loss to the 2 proprietors of £30,000. The present Theatre is 140 feet long and part from from front[strike through] wall to wall 65 feet wide the largest in England. Theatre nearly the form of an Egg. Lighted by a magnificent Glass Chandelier suspended from the centre cont[ainin]g 50 Patent Lamps + 96 small chandeliers round the house each w[ith] wax candles.
