Astley Mr Smith of BM said yesterday he was in compy
with a Gent[leman] 85 who rem[bere]d Astley at Wrights halfpenny
horse hatch which was afterwards Curtis halfpenny hatch
near Cupers Gardens that on the riding Ground there was a
pigeon house upon which the drummer was placed who
accompanied the Horsemanship & that Astley on
Horseback placed himself at the turning over
Westminster Bridge (this must have been Pedlars
Acre) & directed the people which way they were to go
