|Full Name||Sophie Margaretta Almon Hensley|
The 1904 edition of Who's Who in New York lists a novel by Sophie Almon Hensley, The Lost Sard, as "ready for publication," as well as "a work on social and moral problems to be published this winter." Sophia Almon Hensley is often credited with titles written by Captain John Try-Davies (1830-1911), notably Love & Company (Limited) (1897), Historical Sketch of Boisbriant ([189-]), and A Semi-Detached House and Other Stories (1900). The latter two have been proven to be by J. Try-Davies, not Sophia Almon Hensley; authorship of the former is still an enigma.
