Born in England, novelist Margerie Scott moved to Canada in the mid-twentieth century.
Beyond All Recompense: The Story of the Honourable Profession of Nursing in Windsor (1954) is attributed to her. She also wrote the libretto for Son of the North Wind (1933; music by Violet Homes-Tidy) as well as writing a number of plays: Youth and Mrs. Meredith (1938; with Betty Burton), The Wind Woman (1950), The Choice (1950), The Rehearsal (1955), and Darling George (1955).
