Bibliographic Notes Published and bound with the directory is "The Shopkeeper’s and Tradesman’s Assistant: Being a New and Correct Alphabetical List of all the Stage-Coaches, Carriers, Coasting Vessels, &c. Containing an Account of the Several Inns in London…[etc]", – lists of stage-coaches, carriers, and coasting vessels, inns in London these carriers and coaches use, lists of mail coaches, fares for coaches, rates for carriage of goods, and rules and ordinances for said carriage of goods. The title page also indicates its price is one shilling. Also bound in is "Rules and Ordinances for the Regulation of Car Men; Made by the Lord-Mayor, and Justices of the Peace, of the City of London". Each of the title pages within the final bound text also includes their own imprint, and follows a separate pagination, and one has its own preface. There is also, in between these, a section called "Rates of Hackney-Coaches" which is paginated differently. Handwritten in pencil inside front cover recto “1788 + 2 other items found £120”; looks like signatures at back in ink;
