PDF does not show the label MISCEL/POEMS that the catalogue mentions, but morocco spine and label appear to have been added to a pre-bound book that began as a collection of Dryden’s Virgilian poems, then with miscellany poems added to fill it up.

Post-Bound. Seems to be 3 gatherings; one of 8 leaves, then a bifolium of 2 leaves, then one set of 10 leaves. Marbled cover suggest a binding date several decades later than the manuscript's creation.

May have been a collection of unbound gatherings for a period of time. 

Quarter vellum with marbled brown paper over thin boards.

Pre-bound. Accounting book with ruled columns at page edges and alphabetical guide notches at the beginning of the book. 

Full green stained vellum with blind-tooled borders; red sprinkled edges.

Pre-bound. The top edge seems to have been trimmed, so original book was likely rebound.

Compiler is very conscious of avoiding the gutter and margins, frequently squeezing parts of words or writing above line to fit.

Pre-bound, from multiple paperbooks. 40 and 100 blank pages at the ends of volumes 1 and 2, respectively.

Post-bound. Book is completely full; all of the pages except for the Table of Contents look like they've been folded into four columns and then unfolded; very wide margins.

Post-bound, likely. All pages filled. Binding style and extreme wear suggests it is original.

Reverse calf over boards with blind-tooled paneling; red morocco lettering piece; half red stained, half red sprinkled edges (two blocks bound together): The two blocks of paper differ – the first is ledger paper, with red-ruled margin and three columns on right of page; the second block is blank with a pencil-ruled margin of variable width; occasionally at points, some cut-off of parts of letters because of trimming.

Post-bound. Filling of entire book suggests binding after compilation, but if so, must have been upon completion, because paste-ins are squeezed onto inside covers and blank spaces in the book.
