Organization

"On the Death of Mr. Cotton" ends the first compiler’s section, "Finis" written after this poem.

Yes. Some work (in the first section) makes reference to current events in the social life of the author. The headnotes indicate occasions of composition. Two refer to the author as "Jenny."

Vellum covers have trace of what seems to be Mrs. Bennet, or some similar inscription.
