Feature Note
Author attributions

Occasional; at the end of items.

Binding

Pre-bound paperbook, possibly. About 60% of the book unused, eighty-two leaves, and writing crowds letters close to the outside margins, suggesting the compiler is working to the given page size.

Stitching visible at inside back cover.

Seemingly original calf.

Decorations - hand-drawn

Fairly frequent decorative touches with pen, including some bird drawings.

Hands

Varying hands, though seems to have one primary. The primary hand copied the beginning section and perhaps the final item; same hand as that of the "Anne Milles" signature.

Hands at end variable, shift orientation to writing across page lengthwise.

Item formatting

No uniform devices to mark ends of entries.

Original poetry

Perhaps opening imitation of Tunbridge poem, f. 60.

Ownership mark

Inside cover reads "Anne Milles her Book."
