Pre-bound paperbook. Ff. 74-88 are blank; writing never swallowed by the spine and verso sides of first leaves likely filled in later.

Green morocco with some gilt tooling on the covers and spine, which is damaged.

Occasional border around the item titles, eg. f. 10, which mostly stop after f. 16. After that, occasional lines under item titles, but not always.

Sequencing of poems in thematic clusters. 

Recto and verso pages proceed independently from one another from ff. 1–38. This is to say that items are copied either onto recto or verso pages. The items on the verso pages of this section are written vertically/ sideways.

ff. 39–43v (when the recto and verso pages come together for "Of Pleasing," and the rest of the manuscript) are also written vertically/ sideways.

ff. 44–69 versos are blank, except for the last line of the poem on f. 69r, which falls at the top of f. 69v.

Maybe; hard to say given the occasional use of attributions, but most items can be found in the First Line Index. If any item appears to be original, it’s "To a Lady on Her Birth day" (ff. 61–62), which is dated (unlike other items). 

“Anna Rogers. Junr: 1768” on title page in another hand; presumably a later owner. 

Paginated (by the compiler, in folios, beginning after the title page. 69 paginated folios, followed by 4 unpaginated folios. The versos of ff. 1–31 are paginated incorrectly, to create a sequential pagination that matches the opposite page in the same opening; for example, 1v is paginated 2, 2v paginated 3, and so on. The other versos, ff. 32–69, are unpaginated).
