Very mixed book, containing extracts, poems, epitaphs, anagrams, antiquarian notes, satiric poetry etc.; Lots of recorded info re: languages, mathematics, etc.; Jacobite-related material.

Binding	Post-bound. Writing goes quite far into the gutter, though there are also many blank pages, perhaps intended for further entries. Original half calf, rebacked.
Hands	Single.
Indications of use	Apparently owned/ used by William Bromley, d. 1732, so very early after production of the book by J. Wright. Table of Contents in a hand other than the compiler’s, so perhaps that of Wright, indicating his use of the book as source of poetry and information.
Organization	Often filled only on recto side of the page. Very mixed book thematically.
Original poetry	Maybe; a lot of satirical stuff not in the First Line Index.
Ownership mark	J. Wright hand-drawn bookplate. Sir William Bromley of Baignton in Warwickshire bookplate.
Table of Contents	Yes, labeled index, but in fact a table of contents; at the very end, goes to very last page.
