Author attributions

Rare.

Binding

Post-bound. Words disappear into the gutter; one section of the book is written in faded ink or pencil with sideways orientation, so seems to have been produced separately from other items in the manuscript.

Half sheep, paper boards. Seems homemade.

Catchwords

Sometimes.

Decorations - hand-drawn

Detailed ink illustrations for final set of items (pp. 45–64).

Hands

Single.

Indications of use

Title pages and catchwords for ease of reading.

Illustrations seem designed to appeal to an audience, especially children.

Item formatting

Flourishes at item ends.

Print-style titles for items.

Original poetry

Yes; author seems to claim final poem.

A number of other unattributed poems are potentially original as well.

Page layout

Paginated (retrospective; sideways item that is now p. 41 is numbered “45” in original hand).

Title page

No, but a number of internal title pages.
