THIS present Wednesday, October 10, will be presented, for the second time, and for this night only, an entirely new Grand Ballet Pantomime of Action, with new scenery, dresses, and decorations, written and got up under the direction of Mr. Roberts, called EDWARD the BLACK PRINCE; or, The Hero of England. Founded on that never to be forgotten period of English History, the glorious Battle of Cressy. The Piece closes with the Prince’s triumphal entry into London. Principal Characters—Mr. Sutton, Mr. Banks, Mr. Dickinson, Mr. Robert La Toise, Mrs. Wallack, Mons. Mercerot, Mr. Linck, Mr. Pomson, M. Boulange, Mr. Roberts, and Mrs. Wybrow, who will introduce a Combat with the Board Sword. A new Hornpipe, by miss Davis, composed by Mons. Mercerot; Music by Mr. Lawrence. In the course of the evening, wonderful Equestrian Feats, by an unparalleled Group of Horsemen; particularly (for the first time) Mr. Jeffries will go through the Manual Exercise of one horse. And (for the first time this season) presumptuous Peasant, Hormpipe, and Flag Dances, by Mr. Taylor (as originally executed by Mr. Astley, jun.) on a single horse. Mr. Taylor will also (for the first time this season) on a single horse, play the Violin in different attitudes. Mr. Dickinson will (for this night only) sing the admired Song of “Let Fame found her Trumper,” accompanied on the Trumpet by Mr. Lockwood. After which (for the second time) a new Grand Historical Serious Spectacle, called The VETERAN; or, The Marechal de Logis. A favourite Comic Song, by Mr. Johannot. To conclude with the popular Pantomime of BONAFAISO; or Harlequin, King of Epirus. Harlequin, Mr. Taylor; Columbine, Mrs. Wybrow; and Clown, Mr. Laurent. With an entire ne Overture Obligato for the Bugle Horn (composed for the occasion by Mr. Lawrence) Bugle, by Mr. Lockwood.
