The Royal Amphitheatre, Westminster-Bridge, has produced, since our last publication, the great historical Spectacle of the Spanish Armada, and that in a style of grandeur, animation, and correctness, far surpassing any thing of the kind that we have been accustomed to behold. Mr. Upton, by whom it is written, has adhered most strictly to the business and circumstances as they occurred in the fifteenth century; and Mr. Astley, jun. has brought it out with such historic justice, and profuse liberality, as must render it one of the most attractive and favourite productions that has been produced for years. The representative of Queen Elizabeth may rank with a Sidd ns, for emphasis and delivery; her Address, while seated on her Courser, is a most masterly appeal to the Patriotism of the Country.
