THIS present MONDAY, April 29, and every Evening this Week, will be presented, at half past six precisely, never performed, an entirely new Ballet Divertisement, composed by Mons. Mercerot, called the NOSEGAY GIRL. Mr. Astley, jun. with a most grateful sense of the very flattering and distinguished patronage given to the Royal Amphitheatre, has the honour most respectfully to announce, that the subject of the late Installation has long engrossed his attention, and the various artists in his employ, engaged in preparing the Scenery, Machinery, new Music, Dresses, Embellishments, and, so highly necessary for a stage-representation; and, aided by an actual insight, he has been enabled to produce an entire new Spectacle, interspersed with appropriate Recitatives, Songs, Trios, and Chorusses [sic], written by Mr. Upton, the whole pourtraying [sic] the Ceremonies of the KNIGHTS of ST. GEORGE, or the Windsor Installation. The whole to conclude with a Representation of the Public Scramble, with a suitable Chorus and public Dance. Horsemanship by master Saunders, Ms. Jeffries, and Clown Mr. Porter. And for the first time, extraordinary equilibres on the Slack Wire, by Miss Saunders. And, for the first time, a Comic Effusion, by Mr. Johannot, called the Tinker’s Jubilee. To conclude with LAUGH AND LAY DOWN; or, HARLEQUIN KING of SPADES. Other Novelties are in preparation, and will speedily be produced.
