St. Swithin has proved this season a bitter enemy to the pleasures of Public Gardens, while the Theatres, more especially ASTLEY’s, appears to bid the watery Saint defiance. This charming place and its splendid amusements, continuing, from the flow of fashion and numbers, to go on swimmingly every evening. Mrs. Astley’s re-appearance is a tower of strength.
