Seldom have we seen a more capital Pantomime, or one better conducted, than “Harlequin and Mother Bunch,” which was performed last night at Astley’s Theatre, Westminster-bridge, for the second time. The numerous and extraordinary Scenery and Machinery was well conducted, and went off with much eclat. Great praise is due to the several Performers, particularly the inimitable Laurent, in the part if the Clown; Mr. Crossman, in the part of Harlequin; and Mrs. Parker, in the part of Columbine. ‘Mother Bunch’ promises to become as great a favourite as “Mother Goose.” The Entertainments in general at this Theatre have already made a great impression on the Town. Smith’s fine Riding was deservedly much applauded by a very brilliant Audience. The whole was given out for the third time, this evening, with clamorous applause.
