The Public have been, in some manner, taken by surprise by the very able and masterly manner in which the new Spectacle of the Spanish Patriots, or, as it is very justly called, “A Nations in Arms,” has been produced at the Amphitheatre, Westminster Bridge. The surprise, however, has certainly been of the most agreeable nature, the trifling form and shape of a Burletta being laid aside in this piece, in order to present to the spectator all the great and actual events that have been and still are going on in the Spanish provinces.
