Of all the Entertainments offered to the Public for the Holidays, the rational, inimitable and pleasing new Diversions at Astley’s Riding-School, Westminster-Bridge, are certainly the most manly and entertaining. Our Correspondent (an Admirer of Mechanism) was present at the general Practice on Thursday and Saturday last, and was very agreeably entertained with the surprising different Performances, particularly the Mechanical Part, consisting of several Automaton, Musical and other Figures, far superior to any Thing he ever saw.
