Astley’s fireworks on the Thames last night gained the greatest applause from thousands of spectators. The brilliancy and beauty of the different devices, together with the good management and regulation in the firing, did Astley much credit. No wounder [sic] he meets with such success, when his external, as well as internal amusements, are conducted with so much propriety; and expence [sic] to please the public seems to be no object with him.
