To say nothing of Astley’s entertainments, which are confessedly allowed to have much spirit and ingenuity, yet his judgement was never more conspicuous than at present, in his Model of Paris, which gives a high finish to his business of the Bastile; and which, for what reason e are at a loss to account, has not been brought out wither at the Circus or at Sadlers Wells: therefore, it may be concluded, that the above Model begin solely in the hands of Astley, is the reason why he has such crowded houses.
