It is singularly curious to observe the attack in yesterday’s paper on Astley’s siege of Quebec.—If the Manager in the Rules is drove to such extremes, even in the beginning of his management, what must the public think of him, who has not one Performer of consequence to support him?—A fine cage without singing birds is of little use—neither can it be expected that the public will countenance a kind of second-hand representations, however pompously advertised.
