Whether the excellence of the horsemanship, the gracefulness of the dancers, the agility of the tumblers, the Sham Ghost, the Guardian Frigate, the musical Amateur, the Siege of Quebeck [sic], or the Monster take the fancy of the numerous visitors of Astley’s amphitheatre most, we know not; but so it is, that he has monstrous crowds of spectators every evening, but when such variety of amusements are given in one night, we no longer are surprised, that the Royal Grove is so particularly honoured with publick [sic] patronage.
