AT THE

CHAMPS DE MARS,

On the 14th July, 1790.

Mr. ASTLEY, sen. most respectfully informs the Nobility, Gentry, and others, that he has been in Paris for two months last past, during which, from time to time, he sent over to his son, plans of the different preparations which were carrying on for the above Festival; these have been executed with expedition and exactness. He lest Paris on Thursday, 15th July, and wince his arrival, the remaining part of the Ceremonies have been, by the exertion of several capital artists, completed, so as to exhibit him to lay before the Publick [sic] the particulars of the Federation, on the 14th of July, This Evening.

A splendid display of Entertainment, viz.

An entire New Musical Piece (never performed) called

L’AVARE CORRIGE;

Or, The Mister Reformed.

A New Dance, (never performed) called

The AMUSEMENTS of the SAVOYARDS.

TUMBLING, by Capital PERFORMERS.

In the intervals, the famous

GRIMACER,

Just arrived from Paris (with Mr. Astley) whose inimitable Comic Expressions of Countenance is entirely new in this country, and allowed by all the English Nobleman who have seen him in Paris, to be the greatest Mime ever beheld.

Likewise arrived with Mr. Astley, Sen. the celebrated

Madlle. MARIA THERESA De St. ORBE,

From the South of France.

Who is favoured with surprising Long Hair, measuring Nine Feet.

This Lady has been exhibited on the Continent, at Half-a-Crown each, and is allowed to be the greatest Curiosity ever seen in London.

By particular desire,

The FRIESLAND DWARF

Will be exhibited for a few Evenings longer.

The much-admired Song, called

The LAMP-LIGHTER.

HORSEMANSHIP,

By a capital Set of Equestrian Performers.

A New Musical Sketch, never performed, founded on the

PARIS CONFEDERATION,

Which was celebrated on the 14th of July last, in the Champ de Mars.

With a View of the Triumphal Arch, the manner of consecrating the Colours of the Line, and National Guards; the situation of the King, National Assembly, Deputies o the Provinces, Army, and Inhabitants of Paris, as they really appeared on the above day.

The Scenery, Machinery, and Music, entirely new.

The whole to conclude with a Favourite Pantomime, called

HARLEQUIN’s CHOICE,

Or, The Redoute Chinoise.

Doors to be opened at Half-past Five; to begin at Half-past Six precisely.

Boxes 3s. Pit 2s. Gallery 1s. Side Gallery 6d.

Places for the Boxes to be taken at the Theatre, Westminster Bridge.

Ladies and Gentlemen instructed to ride every day from Twelve till Three. Horses broke for all denominations.
