FRANCE in an UPROAR.

Mr. ASTLEY, Sen. being in Paris during the Attempt made by their MAJESTIES of FRANCE to escape, begs Leave to lay before the Public an entire new sketch, consisting of Music and Dancing, called

The ROYAL FUGITIVES;

OR,

FRANCE IN AN UPROAR.

ROYAL GROVE, ASTLEY’s AMPHITHEATRE,

Westminster-Bridge.

THIS present SATURDAY, August 6, will be presented the following Display of Amusements, viz.

The HUMOURS of the CLOWN,

On a Single Horse, by Mr. MILLER.

TUMBLING.

By the most Capital Groupe in Europe.

EQUESTRIAN EXERCISES,

By Miss SMITH ,

And Mr. CROSSMAN.

An entire new Dance by Mr. HOLLAND, called,

THE WRESTLERS,

Or, the RIVAL PEASANTS.

The principal characters by Messrs. Holland, Marqui, and Miss Smith.

EQUESTRIAN PEDESTAL,

And sagacity in various HORSES.

A TRIAL OF SKILL,

By the whole Troop of Equestrian Performers.

An entire new sketch, called,

The ROYAL FUGITIVES;

OR,

FRANCE IN AN UPROAR.

In the above Sketch will be comprised the following Incidents:

  1. Preparations for the Escape.
  2. The Centinel bribed and intoxicated.
  3. The Escape from the Thuilleries.
  4. The Manner in which it was discovered.
  5. General Alarm of the Citzens.
  6. The Decree of the National Assembly proclaimed.
  7. Their Majesties known by the Post-Master.
  8. The Alarm given at Varennes.
  9. The Royal Carriage, &c, stopped at the Bridge.
  10. The Passport demanded by the Govenor.
  11. The King discovers himself.
  12. The Messenger arrives at Paris with the News of their Majecties being taken.
  13. A View of the National Assembly.

To conclude with the procession that attended their MAJESTIES of FRANCE, on their return to PARIS.

The whole to conclude with a grand heroic and historical

Pantomime, in three parts, called,

THE SIEGE OF QUEBEC;

OR, THE DEATH OF GENERAL WOLFE.

The part of General Wolfe by Mr. ASTLEY, Jun.

N.B. The beauty and excellence of this Pantomime the public are already acquainted with, therefore needs no encomium.

Doors to be open at Half past Five, to begin at Half past Six o’Clock precisely.

Boxes, 3s.—Pit, 2s.—Gallery, 1s.—Side Gallery, 6d. only.

Places for the Boxes to be taken of Mrs. Connell, No. 38, Stangate-street, the Back of the Amphitheatre.

Servants to keep places at a Quarter past Five.

[star symbol] Ladies and Gentlemen instructed to Ride on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from Eight in the Morning till One.
