Oscar Wilde, who was recently sentenced to a term of two years' imprisonment with hard labor on a charge of indecency, is reported to have become violently insane.

The Pall Mall Gazette, which is the only paper containing the information, states that because of his efforts to commit suicide Wilde is now confined in a padded cell.
