An application was made in Chambers yesterday before Mr Baron Pollock for an order to release Mr Oscar Wilde on bail. Mr Gill, for the Treasury, was present. His Lordship, while promising that bail should be granted, said he would reserve his final decision until today so as to be able to read the depositions and fix the amount of bail.

Mr Charles Matthews accompanied by Mr Travers Humphrey yesterday applied to Baron Pollock in Chambers for an order to release Mr Oscar Wilde on bail. Mr Gill for the Treasury was also present.
