Mr Charles Mathews, accompanied by Mr Travers Humphrey, to-day applied to Baron Pollock in Chamber for an order to release Mr Oscar Wilde on bail. Mr Gill, for the Treasury, was also present. Baron Pollock, while promising that bail should be granted, said he would reserve his final decision until to-morrow, so as to be able to read the deposietions and fix the amount.
