Mr Charles Matthews accompanied by Mr Travers Humphrey yesterday applied to Baron Pollock in Chambers for an order to release Mr Oscar Wilde on bail. Mr Gill for the Treasury was also present. Baron Pollock, while promising that bail should be granted, said he would reserve his final decision until to-morrow, so as to be able to read the depositions and fix the amount.
