The governor of the gaol in which Oscar Wilde is confined denies that Wilde is insane.
At first the convict was kept at the treadmill for six hours a day, but as his health is not good he is at present engaged in the lighter occupation of picking oakum.

It is reported that Oscar Wilde became insane, when his head was shaved, and that he had to be confined in a padded room.
June 22.
