It is reported that Oscar Wilde became insane when his head was shaved, and that he had to be confined in a padded room.
London, June 6.
The Governor of the gaol denies that Oscar Wilde is insane. At first he was kept at the tread-mill for six hours a-day, but as his health is not good he is at present engaged in the lighter occupation of picking oakum.
