The Recorder, Sir Charles Hell, in charging the grand jury at the Old Bailey yesterday, at the opening of the April session, said there
was a serious charge against two men, Oscar Wilde and Alfred Taylor. He did not think it was necessary to allude to the facts of the case. It was only
necessary to say that after the grand jury had heard the evidence of the witnesses called before the magistrates they would no doubt feel it their duty to
return a true bill against each of the accused.
In his charge to the Grand Jury at the Central Criminal Court to-day the Recorder said there was a very serious charge against two men,
Oscar Wilde and Alfred Taylor. He did not think it was necessary to again allude to all the facts of that case, but when the Grand Jury had heard the
evidence of the witnesses called before the magistrates, they would no doubt return true bills against both defendants.
