doctors affirm that his heart is weak, and he has therefore not yet been placed on the treadmill, but he has been compelled to pick oakum. His health is
broken, and he hardly sleeps. Taylor takes prison life in a lighter manner. Certain low class papers clamer for the arrest and trial of the known
associates of "Cocoa," as Taylor is nicknamed. The police actually arrested several persons, but they were afterward liberated, the Government being
unwilling to create any further social malodor.
