publicly examined in the Bankruptcy Court regarding his assets. Wilde looked pale and weary. He was but a shadow of his former nonchalant self. His
liabilities were £3591 with no available assets. It transpired in the coarse of the examination there was a marriage settlement in favor of Wilde's wife
of £800 a year.
