WAY OF THE WORLD.
Political Pepper and Social Salt.

In my opinion Oscar Wilde may possibly be acquitted. At the present stage of the trial everything seems to be in his favor. If the too too æsthetic Oscar gets off he will no doubt have something to say about the way the theatre people have acted in regard to his plays. After all the Wilde business may be nothing more than a vivid illustration of the British idea that "a man accused is a man guilty."
