OSCAR WILDE.
DECLARED BANKRUPT.
AT THE INSTANCE OF
QUEENSBERRY
LONDON. Thursday Night.

Oscar Wilde, the dramatic author, who in May last was sentenced to two years' imprisonment for an abominable offence, has been declared bankrupt, at the instance of the Marquis of Queensberry.

The Marquis claims £600 from Wilde. This sum represents the costs of the unsuccessful prosecution initiated by Wilde against the Marquis on a charge of criminal libel, and in which the defendant was held by the Jury to have acted with full justification.
