OSCAR WILDE’S MOVEMENTS.

Oscar Wilde slept at the Midland Hotel at St. Paneras on Tuesday night, and remained there throughout yesterday. He was busily engaged for a considerable period in arranging his private affairs and preparing for the rehearing of his case on the 20th inst., and with that object had long interviews with his solicitors, Messrs. Humphreys and Son, both in the morning and afternoon, It is stated that his health is in a far from satisfactory state, and he has broken down to such an extent that up to the present only one or two of his most intimate friends have been permitted to see him at the hotel. He is able to take plenty of nourishing food, but continues in a very despondent mood, and complains of his inability to secure rest of night. Both the time of his departure from London and the seaside place which it is understood he has decided to visit in the hope of recruiting his strength before surrendering himself to his bail on Monday week are kept secret, except from the police authorities, who are kept fully supplied with information as to his movements.
