The trial of the Marquess of QUEENSBERRY upon the indictment for libel preferred against him by Mr. OSCAR WILDE began yesterday at the Central Criminal Court. Mr. Oscar Wilde gave evidence as to his acquaintance with Lord A. DOUGLAS, the Defendant's son, and as to a card bearing a libellous charge being left by the Marquess at his Club. He was cross-examined at length as to his relations with several other young men, as well as with Lord ALFRED DOUGLAS, also in regard to a remarkable letter addressed to the lat[?] views generally on the ethics [?] trial was adjourned till this morning.
