CENTRAL CRIMINAL COURT.--Before Mr. Justice Charles, the trial of Oscar Wilde and Alfred Taylor on charges under the 11th section of the Criminal Law Amendment Act was continued. Counsel for the prosecution intimated that they did not ask for a verdict on the counts of the indictment charging the prisoners with conspiracy. Sir E. Clarke then opened the case for the defence, and called the prisoner Wilde, who declared that there was no truth whatever in any of the allegations of indecent conduct made against him. Taylor was also called as a witness by his counsel, and also denied the allegation against him. Counsel for both prisoners then addressed the jury, and Mr. Gill having replied for the prosecution, the trial was adjourned until to-day.
