WILDE'S TRIAL.

At the Central Criminal Court, to-day, Mr. C. Mathews applied, on behalf of Oscar Wilde, for a postponement of the trial. Mr. Gill, for the prosecution, opposed the application, saying ample opportunity had been given to prepare the case. The application was refused, and Friday next was fixed for hearing the case.

At the Central Criminal Court yesterday, Mr. C. Matthews applied for a postponement of the trial on behalf of Oscar Wilde. Mr. J. P. Grain, who appeared for Taylor, wished to go on. Mr. Gill opposed the application, saying ample opportunity had been given to prepare the case. The application was refused, and Friday next was fixed for the hearing.
