PARLIAMENT AND BAR.

On the 25th instant at the Old Bailey, Oscar Wilde and Taylor were found guilty of abominable crimes and sentenced to two years' imprisonment with hard labour. Sir Frank Lockwood Solicitor-General, for the prosecution, made such a strong appeal to the jury for a conviction that it drew forth the protest from Sir Edward Clarke that such conduct was unbecoming on the part of the Crown. I shall await the opinion of the legal press on this point with interest. By every precedent the conduct of the Crown's case should be not only dispassionate but almost judicial.
