Yesterday Mr. Oscar Wilde left Bow Street, Police office in company with his bondsmen, the Marquis of Queenberry's eldest son and the Revd. Stewart Headlam. The latter explains as his reason for becoming his bondsmen is that he desires to assist Mr. Wilde so as to enable him to properly oppose a prejudiced public opinion.
