THE WILDE SCANDAL
A RUMOUR
[BY TELEPHONE TO "THE GALIGNANI MESSENGER."]

LONDON, April 11.

MR. Oscar Wilde comes up again to day for the continued hearing of the serious charges against him. There is a rumour to the effect that a determined attempt will be made to obtain the prisoner's temporary release on bail. I give the report for what it is worth, but the friends of the prisoner are said to be prepared with a very large sum, and to be hopeful of success with the application.
