The trial of the Marquis of Queensberry, on the charge of libelling Oscar Wilde, by accusing him of the basest and most loathsome immorality, was resumed yesterday. Wilde was further cross-examined as to his life by Mr Carson, Q C, who in his subsequent address to the jury declared that the Marquis of Queensberry had nothing to withdraw, and had acted with deliberation. The further hearing was adjourned to this day.
