Round the Capitol

At the Valle, Oscar Wilde's "Woman of no consequence" has been very well received by crowded houses. Signor Rosaspina and his company displayed some splendid acting, and both the translation and rendering do full justice to the original. It is, however, in very questionable taste to introduce this play on the Italian stage just at present, turning the morbid curiosity of the Roman public to account in order to achieve a success which is, we venture to say, more financial than artistic.
