Occasional Notes.

Oscar Wilde has been removed from Pentonville to Wormwood Scrubs, whilst Taylor has gone to Wardsworth. Both are in good health. Oscar Wilde is not only in good health but has, with true philosophy, reconciled himself to his fate. He is very obedient to the rules of the gaol, and this, according to custom, has brought a slight occasional mitigation of his terrible doom. He amuses the turnkeys with merry stories and when parading with the other prisoners his pleasant custom is to edify them with moral scraps believed to be sincerely intended for good. Wilde has lost flesh, and would, even in evening dress scarcely be recognised.
