London, April 5

The case against the Marquis of Queensberry was brought to a sudden termination to-day. Sir Edward Clarke counsel lor Wilde, asked permission to withdraw the case. The judges consented to a verdict of acquittal being passed for the defendant. Wilde was absent from Court, Mr Edward Carson who appeared for the Marquis of Queensberry, stated to the Court before the adjournment yesterday evening that he was going to produce absolutely damaging evidence against Wilde.
