Los Tribunales ingleses no cesan en estos días de ocuparse en asuntos que despiertan en extremo la curiosidad pública. Aún está pendiente la ruidosa causa seguida contra Oscar Wilde, de la cual ya lie nen noticia los lectores de LA EPOCA, y en la que se ha decretado ayer la libertad provisional del acusado, mediante 5.000 libras de fianza, cuando tienen que empezar otra contra Jabez Balfour, el presidente de una serie de Sociedades de crédito y financieras que actuaron en Londres hace algunos años, y que terminaron con una quiebra fraudulenta, que manifestó á las claras las estafas y robos practicados.

The noisy case against Oscar Wilde is still pending, of which the readers of LA EPOCA have already heard, and in which the provisional release of the accused was decreed yesterday, by means of 5,000 pounds of bail, when they have to start another against Jabez Balfour, the president of a series of credit and financial companies that operated in London some years ago, and that ended with a fraudulent bankruptcy, which clearly manifested the swindles and robberies practiced.
