Oscar Wilde on the Treadmill.
[From a sketch made from life for an English paper and reproduced in the New York World.]

The harsh routine of life in Pentonville Prison, where Oscar Wilde daily treads the mill, is generally understood. Pictures of the interior of the building have been printed, and long accounts written of it. The picture given here with, however, is from life and is the first of the kind to be published. It shows more of the arduous character of the work prescribed than a long story could tell.
