Oscar Wilde's Friend Wood.

Alfred Wood, who has figured prominently in the the Oscar Wilde case, is believed to be the same man who, under the name of Marmaduke Wood, came to New York in 1893. Wood was lionised here for a time, and often spoke of his friendship for Wilde. He left the St. James Hotel a short time ago without paying his bill; his trunks are still in the hotel storage rooms.
