AGAIN THE MARQUIS.

The “Markiss o’Queensberry” is again before the public. Lord Sholto Douglas, the Marquis’s youngest son, was yesterday married at San Jose to Loretta Addis, the pretty young waitress and variety actress, and the happy couple are now in San Francisco.

Lord Sholto, having given the pretty Loretta a place in Burke’s book of Peers and their families, intends to remain quietly in this country until he [...] from his father and ascertains how he takes the news of the wedding. If he receives the regulation “Bless you, my chyildren!” the happy pair will return to England.

There is no good ground why the knock-out Marquis should get mad and blacken Lord Sholto’s eye. Indeed, he ought to be thankful to any respectable, virtuous young woman who would consent to marry into his family.

But it has been said that the Marquis has already announced that he would not object to any reputable marriage his son might contract, so that Loretta is likely to be received by her husband’s family, if indeed that is an honor, and every one will wish her a happy married life.
